UK, the author of this blog is a native English speaker with a thirst for adventure and burning desire to explore.

Since their school days they have found enjoyment in learning languages besides their own, and take great pride in their ability to get by with often the bare minimum of vocabulary. Now, with a joint honours degree in International Relations & Spanish, they turn their attention to other languages, and use the teaching of English overseas as a stepping stone to a world much wider than they could ever have imagined.

The first stone upon which they step is in Split, Croatia. Where they will help staff and students alike at a local language academy, while getting to grips with the Croat tongue.

Their second port of call will be Oslo in Norway, where they will be working full time in a high school for language students seeking to study abroad in higher education.

And the final step will take them to the North of Finland, to Oulu. Where they will live and work in much the same fashion as before, preparing students for a world where English remains the official language of more states than any other.

This is unlikely to be the end of their story, but for now it will suffice.
